Texas permit practice and CDL planning information
CDL Test Truck provides online Texas commercial learner permit practice, public CDL reference information, customer experience videos and test vehicle rental inquiries. Use the website to compare knowledge subjects, review the steps in a Texas CDL application and prepare questions about the vehicle you intend to operate.
Call (469) 332-7188 or use our contact page for current availability and account questions. Confirm the current service location, appointment and written price before traveling. Information in older customer videos describes individual experiences at the time of recording.
Online knowledge practice
The practice catalog includes Texas Commercial Vehicle Operation, General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Combination Vehicles, Passenger, School Bus, Hazardous Materials, Tanker and Doubles/Triples. Each product describes its practice format, price and access period. These are study products; they do not issue a commercial learner permit or a CDL.
Compare practice subjects and question counts, browse access choices and use the current Texas CDL handbook alongside your practice. Review an answer's reason and revisit the source when a topic is unclear. No practice score guarantees the result of a state examination.
Vehicle rental, familiarization and ELDT are separate
A skills-test vehicle must suit the credential and restrictions you seek. Discuss license class, transmission, air brakes, trailer or bus configuration, test location and appointment time before reserving equipment. Rental access and familiarization do not themselves establish completion of required Entry-Level Driver Training.
For current Royse City vehicle rental, limited familiarization and separate ELDT range and public-road information, see Get Your CDL Quick. Its individual service prices and eligibility terms explain the current selections. Customers are welcomed from across Texas; confirm arrangements before making a trip.
Online theory information
ELDT Theory Now explains planned online theory paths and the difference between theory and in-person driving. Its public website currently states that enrollment is not yet open. Check current availability directly. A planned theory course is separate from this website's CLP practice access and from required behind-the-wheel training.
Customer experiences and official requirements
Our preserved customer testimonial videos and reference video library remain available. Customers bring different backgrounds and skills, and results vary. Texas DPS administers state licensing examinations and determines eligibility; this website does not guarantee a passing result.
Verify current requirements through Texas DPS CDL application information and the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. Our application guide links these steps together.
